The Deadliest Catch

Harking back to the cane toad handbags of 2010, the Cult of Weird blog reports on another use for preserved amphibian skins aside from, of course, retaining the insides of said amphibians.

Frog hunter Fabiana LaFleur (surely a profession that demands further explanation) has created a bikini with the tanned hides of her prey.

"After getting the leg meat out for frying", relates Ms LaFleur, "I sewed the skins together into a bathing suit. I could go to the mall and get a suit but they don’t sell anything that turns heads like the one I’ve made".

I will leave the last word to the Cult of Weird author Charlie Hintz, who remarks that no other swimsuit provides both dinner and high fashion. Indeed.
